Tax measures to take into account the economic consequences of the corona pandemic

Dear Sir or Madam,

the Federal Ministry of Finance and the supreme financial authorities of the federal states have jointly taken tax measures to avoid undue hardship.

Here are the most important aspects for you in brief:

Interest-free deferral
of the taxes due or becoming due by June 30, 2021 under simplified conditions. Advance payments for income and corporation tax will also be adjusted under simplified conditions.

It is sufficient if you are demonstrably directly and not insignificantly affected by the corona pandemic. There are no strict requirements when reviewing these requirements. It does not matter that you can provide detailed proof of the damage caused. There is usually no deferred interest.

Deadline for filing income tax returns 2019
extended by one month until March 31, 2021, provided the declaration is prepared by a tax advisor.

Financial aid and other measures by the federal government
The federal government and various state governments have decided on extensive financial aid and other support measures for companies affected by the Corona crisis, such as facilitation of obtaining reduced-hours (Kurzarbeitergeld) allowance. Our experts will be happy to help and advise you on the question of which specific measures are suitable for you.

We hope to be able to support you with this information in these difficult times. We present further current developments for you on our homepage. If you have any questions about the above-mentioned relief measures, the application or other topics, please contact us by phone or email.

With best regards and best wishes for your health and endurance in the coming weeks
